Pre‑Sales Trainer – Light, Medium & Heavy Duty Trucks

About the role

Our client, a globally recognised commercial vehicle manufacturer, is seeking a Pre‑Sales Trainer to empower dealer sales teams across South Africa and the region. You will translate deep technical knowledge of light, medium and heavy duty trucks into engaging training that drives sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onsite and online training sessions for dealer sales teams, delivering product knowledge, competitive advantages and practical sales techniques.
• Design and develop customised training modules for new product launches and core truck ranges, tailored to regional market needs.
• Continuously review, refine and update training materials based on sales feedback and market developments.
• Monitor training effectiveness, analyse results and recommend improvements.
• Support the development of internal trainer management and certification frameworks for overseas dealer markets.
• Travel domestically and occasionally internationally to deliver training at dealer locations.

Required profile

• Valid Heavy Duty Truck Driver's Licence (Code B2 or higher) – advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years experience in heavy duty truck sales or product management.
• Strong technical and application knowledge of heavy duty trucks, including specifications, features and competitive positioning.
• Proven ability to design training materials and deliver engaging, interactive sessions both onsite and online.
• Background in vehicle or mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Formal training, facilitation or public‑speaking qualification or experience is a plus.
