Pre-Sales Engineer – Huawei ICT Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a technically‑savvy Pre‑Sales Engineer to champion Huawei’s IT portfolio for a leading ICT distributor. In this permanent, office‑based position you will act as a trusted advisor, designing integrated enterprise infrastructure solutions for private, public and hybrid cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Technical Solution Design – create, demo and proof‑of‑concept integrated infrastructure solutions using whiteboarding and hands‑on labs.
• Customer Engagement – represent the Huawei portfolio at client meetings, industry events and C‑level discussions, building long‑term relationships.
• Sales Execution & Pricing – develop business cases, support tender evaluations and price solutions to meet revenue and margin targets.
• Enablement & Mentorship – coach sales teams and guide technical staff, acting as a technology catalyst and subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Education – Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics.
• Mobility – valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for local and inter‑provincial travel.
• Professional standards – excellent corporate grooming and presentation skills.
• Experience – minimum 3 years designing complex enterprise infrastructure, proven pre‑sales track record across storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualization and HCI, and strong stakeholder‑management abilities.
