Pharmacy Manager – Parow Store

About the role

The Pharmacy Manager will lead the dispensary and clinic at the Clicks Parow Sanlam Centre, ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and high‑quality pharmaceutical care while meeting sales and compliance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dispensary, including stock control, shrinkage prevention, housekeeping and administration.
• Manage financial performance, monitor expenses and drive core dispensary and clinic targets.
• Recruit, schedule and develop pharmacy staff, learners and interns in line with labour policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service initiatives that boost loyalty and club‑card participation.
• Integrate pharmacy services with the on‑site clinic to provide a comprehensive health offering.
• Ensure compliance with SAPC regulations, company standards and ethical working practices.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a valid South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) practising certificate.
• Proven experience in managing a retail pharmacy environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial reporting and expense control.
• Knowledge of labour legislation and industrial relations practices.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of SAPC regulations and legal pharmacy practice.
• Expertise in stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures.
• Competence in patient care, professional counselling and customer service excellence.
• Understanding of financial management principles and competency‑based interviewing.
