Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Health Positions – Limpopo

About the role

The Limpopo Department of Health is recruiting over 1,800 candidates for Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) positions across hospitals, clinics, district offices and nursing campuses. Roles span general work, food services, infrastructure support, asset management, accounting and registry duties, with a monthly stipend of R4,121.76 until 31 March 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, assist artisans and operate water‑softening plants where required.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals following HACCP food‑safety standards and manage kitchen hygiene.
• Maintain asset registers, conduct verification and handle disposal records.
• Capture payments, reconcile accounts and process financial vouchers.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or ABET qualification, depending on the specific post.
• N6 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Catering, Supply Chain, Financial Management) where applicable.
• Computer literacy, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Required skills

• MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
• HACCP food‑safety principles.
• Use of hand tools and power tools for infrastructure tasks.
• Operation and maintenance of water‑softening plant equipment.
• Asset management and basic financial reconciliation.
