Pharmacist Assistant QPB

About the role

The Clicks Group is hiring a full-time Pharmacist Assistant QPB for its Rylands branch in Cape Town, Western Cape. The pharmacist assistant provides pharmaceutical care services within scope of practice and handles day-to-day dispensary administration in line with the company's Standard Operating Procedures, with a focus on script administration, general dispensing and patient satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Interact professionally with customers, keeping strict confidentiality within SOPs and agreed timelines
• Administer scripts and handle related claiming and capturing procedures
• Ensure accurate and complete handling of all patient profiles
• Handle prescription queries and capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre
• Assist with chronic authorizations and liaise with other departments
• Communicate with customers by telephone or other means about medication and healthcare services
• Solve problems and follow up on queries

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic
• Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (essential)
• Bilingual, with English as one of the languages
• Sound knowledge of the chronic authorization process and SAPC and relevant legal knowledge
• Customer service oriented, ethical, and able to work under pressure
