Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic)

About the role

Medirite Plus Protea Heights is seeking a qualified Pharmacist Assistant (Post‑Basic) to support the pharmacy team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, helping to ensure safe and efficient dispensing of medicines and smooth operation of the pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions and preparing medication.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, perform inventory checks and manage stock control.
• Handle administrative tasks such as record keeping, labeling and documentation.
• Provide front‑shop service, greeting customers and answering basic queries.
• Support housekeeping duties to keep the pharmacy clean and organized.

Required profile

• Post‑Basic qualification as a Pharmacist Assistant.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
