People Effectiveness Consultant

About the role

The People Effectiveness Consultant will support BSG’s People Value Proposition by managing graduate recruitment, internship programmes and graduate development initiatives. The role is based in Johannesburg and operates in a hybrid model, combining remote and on‑site work.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with universities, overseeing the graduate recruitment application process from February to July.
• Coordinate interview logistics, evaluate student applications daily, and ensure a high‑quality selection process.
• Manage the annual 4‑week internship programme for 10‑15 students, including logistics and performance measurement.
• Lead the 12‑month Graduate Development Programme, covering induction, ongoing development and exit tasks.
• Handle onboarding and off‑boarding activities, as well as annual SETA reporting.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience, preferably in professional services or consulting.
• BCom or a relevant degree.
• Experience in graduate recruitment or talent development is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, multi‑tasking and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft technology suite.
• Experience using Power BI for reporting and analytics.
