Payroll Administrator

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be the accurate and compliant management of payroll for a diverse range of clients. You will ensure that all payroll processes are executed with precision and in full adherence to applicable laws and regulations, while maintaining the confidentiality of employee data.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll for a diverse client base, including statutory submissions.
• Ensure compliance with payroll‑related legislation such as SARS, UIF and WCA.
• Handle SARS queries, correspondence, verifications and audits.
• Assist with registration and de‑registration of payroll obligations.
• Support clients in payroll debt management and related interventions.
• Perform general administrative duties and support other employment‑solution services as required.

Required profile

• Matriculation (or equivalent).
• 3–4 years of payroll experience, preferably within an audit or accounting environment.
• Good knowledge of South African payroll regulations, including SARS, UIF and WCA.
• Ability to train and guide junior payroll staff and assist the team leader.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Understanding of payroll statutory requirements (SARS, UIF, WCA).
• Proficiency in payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
