Part-Time Lecturer - Imaging Technology III (2027)

About the role

The Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences, Department of Clinical Sciences at the Bloemfontein Campus of the Central University of Technology, Free State, is looking for part-time lecturer(s) for the 2027 academic year. The appointment is for the subject Imaging Technology III (IMT7000) and is made on an hourly basis for specific semester and/or year subjects, including teaching, learning and assessment and related administration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop academic material and deliver lectures in allocated subjects for own and other programmes.
• Execute appropriate community projects.
• Lecture on the relevant CUT campus during scheduled class hours, which may include evening work.
• Use a face-to-face, remote or hybrid format; facilitation and assessment formats may change on short notice.

Required profile

• A relevant professional bachelor's degree or equivalent (NQF8) in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Physics.
• HPCSA professional registration as a radiographer, if applicable.
• Previous lecturing experience is recommended.
• Appointees must be able to bring their own laptop computer.

Required skills

• Experience with electronic education platforms such as Blackboard is recommended.

What we offer

• Hourly pay depending on qualifications and experience: Junior Lecturer R292, Lecturer R358, Senior Lecturer R438 and A-Prof/Prof R600 per hour (2026 rates).
