Part-Time Lecturer - Entrepreneurship (2027)

About the role

The Faculty of Management Sciences, Entrepreneurship Development Unit at the Bloemfontein campus of the Central University of Technology, Free State, is appointing part-time lecturers for 2027. The appointment is on an hourly basis for specific semester and/or year subjects covering teaching, learning and assessment and related administration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop academic material and deliver lectures in allocated subjects for own and other programmes
• Execute appropriate community projects
• Lecture on the relevant CUT campus during scheduled class hours, which may include day and/or evening work
• Format of lectures is expected to be face-to-face, remote or a combination; facilitation and assessment formats may change on short notice

Required profile

• Appointment as Senior Lecturer requires a relevant doctorate (D Tech / PhD / NQF 10 or equivalent)
• At least five years of lecturing or industry experience in the relevant subject fields
• Own laptop computer

What we offer

• Hourly pay depending on qualifications and experience: Junior Lecturer R292, Lecturer R358, Senior Lecturer R438, Assistant Professor / Professor R600 per hour (2026 rates)
• Subjects include entrepreneurship, project management, marketing management, public sector management and business management topics
