Paid Media Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Paid Media Manager to own the paid acquisition strategy for a fast‑growing global ecommerce business. Based in South Africa, you will work remotely and lead the evolution of paid media operations, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on campaign optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute paid media strategy across Google Ads, Meta Ads and emerging channels.
• Manage external agencies, set expectations, review performance and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Define campaign goals, KPIs, budget allocation and optimisation tactics to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Lead Google Ads initiatives including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube and SKU‑level campaigns.
• Oversee Meta Ads prospecting, retargeting, product launch and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with creative, merchandising, lifecycle marketing and sales teams to shape ad concepts and messaging.
• Build reporting frameworks covering spend, ROI, revenue contribution and forecasting.
• Identify experimentation opportunities and drive the transition from agency‑led to in‑house media operations.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in paid acquisition channels, especially Google Ads and Meta Ads.
• Experience leading agencies and translating business objectives into actionable growth initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to monitor blended MER, contribution margin and paid revenue targets.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
