Paid Digital Media & Marketing Manager

About the role

Rugged SA is seeking a results‑driven Paid Digital Media & Marketing Manager to lead customer acquisition and conversion across all digital channels. You will own the planning, execution, and optimisation of paid social, display and trade‑activation campaigns, ensuring they meet performance targets and support the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise innovative approaches to customer acquisition and conversion through paid digital media.
• Execute, manage and measure campaigns on paid social and display platforms, maintaining daily and monthly budget caps.
• Track conversion rates, analyse performance against KPIs and recommend UX improvements.
• Collaborate with multiple business units to drive growth and share cross‑device insights.
• Plan, manage and report on paid social campaigns from setup to performance analysis.
• Plan, manage and report on trade activations, evaluating return on investment.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in paid digital media.
• Post‑matric diploma, degree or qualification in marketing communications or media.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Proven track record managing a monthly ad spend of at least R100,000.
• Experience running both B2B lead‑generation and B2C e‑commerce/retail campaigns.
• Willingness to work additional hours when required and ability to perform under pressure.
