Occupational Health Nurse – Full-time (24 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Health Nurse for a permanent, 24‑hour per week position at our occupational health clinic in the Springs area, Gauteng. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will deliver high‑quality primary health care and occupational health services to our client’s workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the occupational health program to promote physical, psychological and social well‑being of workers.
• Conduct ongoing health surveillance and monitoring in line with SOPs.
• Provide information and advice to eliminate, control and minimise health risks and hazards.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 18001:2018 standards.
• Deliver primary health care services while managing budget and administrative duties.

Required profile

• General Nursing qualification plus Occupational Health Nursing qualification (BTech/Diploma) with 2‑3 years post‑graduation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and occupational health nursing qualification listed on the SANC receipt.
• Ability to work effectively within a budget and meet professional and quality standards of Life Occupational Health and its clients.

Required skills

• Certificate in dispensing medicines.
• Competency certificates in Spirometry and Audiometry, and registration as an Audiometrist with SASOHN.
• Certification in Vision screening and HIV Counselling and Testing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficient computer literacy.
