About the role
The Night Audit Receptionist ensures the smooth operation of the front office during overnight hours, combining traditional reception duties with night‑audit responsibilities. This role delivers exceptional guest service while accurately reconciling daily financial transactions and preparing hand‑over reports for the day shift.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests, conduct check‑ins and check‑outs, and respond promptly to queries, requests, and complaints.
- Maintain guest satisfaction through personalized service and accurate capture of guest information.
- Perform the nightly audit, verify and balance room, food‑and‑beverage, and other departmental revenues.
- Post guest charges, investigate discrepancies, and generate daily financial and operational reports.
- Prepare shift hand‑over reports for management and day‑time staff.
- Maintain accurate guest records, process payments, refunds, deposits, and ensure cash‑handling procedures are followed.
- Balance cash floats, reconcile daily receipts, and manage the switchboard and communication systems during the night shift.
- Assist with reservation administration as needed.
Required profile
- Professional, friendly, and efficient demeanor with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently overnight while maintaining security and operational continuity.
- Excellent communication skills for handling guest interactions and complaints.
- Reliability and accountability in cash handling and financial reconciliation.
