Newly Qualified SAPIA Accountant

About the role

This position offers a newly qualified accountant the chance to join a fast‑growing technology company in Johannesburg. You will work within a collaborative finance team, gaining exposure to predictive modelling, business analysis and strategic decision‑making while supporting the commercial finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, review and present monthly management accounts and internal performance reports.
• Analyse financial trends and revenue drivers, providing commentary to improve profitability.
• Support senior leadership with rolling budgets, forecasting models and short‑term financial planning.
• Ensure reporting accuracy in line with IFRS and South African statutory requirements.
• Prepare year‑end audit packs, liaise with external auditors and drive improvements in internal controls.

Required profile

• Newly qualified CA(SA) or SAIPA‑certified accountant.
• Completed training articles at a reputable public accounting or audit practice; Big 4 exposure is a plus.
• Strong academic record with references.
• Experience in auditing or commercial finance, preferably with IT, telecommunications or large corporate clients.
