About the role

An established audit and accounting firm in George, Western Cape is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) to join its practice. This is more than a traditional audit position, offering a long‑term career path with the potential to become a shareholder as the firm grows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee audit engagements across a range of clients and industries.
• Manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Prepare and review annual financial statements and related working papers.
• Identify risks and control weaknesses and communicate findings.
• Review the work of junior staff and provide guidance.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification – newly or recently qualified.
• 1‑2 years post‑article experience with strong SAICA article background.
• Solid practical audit experience and knowledge of IFRS and applicable auditing standards.
• Strong financial reporting, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident, professional communication and interpersonal abilities.
