Network Specialist

About the role

You will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure that powers OneDayOnly’s fast‑paced e‑commerce platform. The role demands proactive monitoring, optimisation and security to guarantee uninterrupted service for millions of daily shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and design optimal wired and wireless network solutions.
• Install, configure and deploy access points, managed switches, security gateways and firewalls across Ubiquiti UniFi, HP Aruba, Sophos and Fortinet platforms.
• Plan and execute network expansion projects to support organisational growth.
• Continuously monitor performance using UniFi Controller, HP Aruba Central and other monitoring tools, optimise configurations and manage bandwidth allocation.
• Perform diagnostics, resolve connectivity issues, coordinate firmware updates and ensure high‑availability through proactive maintenance.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, web‑filter policies, SSL‑VPN, IPSEC tunnels, SD‑WAN and secure access controls across multiple sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Ubiquiti UniFi, Cisco, HP Aruba, Sophos and Fortinet.
• Ability to architect networks for peak performance and reliability in an e‑commerce environment.
• Strong proactive mindset for monitoring, optimisation and incident response.
• Excellent understanding of network security best practices and multi‑site deployments.
