Monitoring Technician

About the role

As a Monitoring Technician at Cyberlogic, you will ensure the smooth operation of our clients’ IT infrastructure by continuously monitoring systems, networks and applications. Working closely with the IT operations team, you will proactively detect, investigate and resolve alerts to minimise downtime and improve performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health, performance and availability of servers, networks, applications and other IT assets.
• Log and triage alerts using the ticketing system, adhering to SLA targets.
• Perform first‑line troubleshooting and initial investigations to identify root causes.
• Apply basic product knowledge to resolve issues or escalate when necessary.
• Conduct post‑patch support checks to verify system stability.
• Document findings and actions taken in tickets and knowledge base.

Required profile

• Strong interest in IT operations and monitoring tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple alerts.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to follow processes.

Required skills

• Experience with monitoring platforms (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs).
