Medical Integration Technologist

About the role

Mediclinic Southern Africa Corporate Office in Stellenbosch is recruiting one Medical Integration Technologist for a permanent, hybrid position. The role coordinates, plans, implements and maintains Medical Device Integration and PACS solutions with internal and external parties.

Key responsibilities

• Engage suppliers and procurement partners
• Coordinate integration architecture
• Manage, plan, implement and maintain VNA and medical device systems
• Manage, plan, implement and maintain PACS systems
• Maintain quality assurance
• Provide service desk support

Required profile

• Essential: IT degree; desired: IT honours degree
• Essential: 5 years' experience as a PACS administrator and 3 years of ICT experience
• Preference given according to the Employment Equity Plan, as well as to internal applicants who meet the minimum requirements

Required skills

• DICOM connectivity and header diagnostics and fixing (VNA/PACS)
• Windows servers, operating systems and applications
• SQL server and SQL statements
• Network knowledge and diagnostics, messaging protocols such as web services and XML
• SDLC, project management and service delivery knowledge
• Medical device cybersecurity, network security and healthcare data privacy (POPIA)
• Presentation and public speaking
