Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for continuously improving asset capability assurance through systematic root cause failure analysis of high‑frequency, high‑cost breakdowns. The role focuses on safety, reliability and performance optimisation within an industrial production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess risk exposures related to equipment, processes and environment, applying mitigation measures.
• Supervise the maintenance team, ensuring a stable workforce, performance against targets and compliance with SHEQ standards.
• Develop, review and maintain maintenance plans, task lists and frequencies.
• Perform data analysis (Pareto, correlation) to highlight chronic losses and drive corrective actions.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations, facilitate problem‑solving sessions and recommend solutions based on cost‑risk‑benefit analysis.
• Monitor condition monitoring results, equipment failure history and track implementation of corrective actions.
• Share lessons learned across the organisation via intranet and SAP platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) requirements.
• Ability to lead teams, conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
