About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team in Durban. The role focuses on operating and maintaining high‑capacity press equipment within a fast‑paced production environment. This is a full‑time, onsite position located in Umhlanga Rocks. The appointment is managed through Express Employment Professionals Durban. The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate. The position falls within the engineering sector, focusing on mechanical engineering for automotive applications. Applicants must have experience with presses exceeding 400 tons.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and maintain presses with a capacity of 400 tons or more.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- National Diploma (N4) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Automotive industry experience is an advantage.
Required skills
- 400 ton press operation.
- Automotive mechanical systems knowledge.
