Mechanical Design Graduate – Entry Level

About the role

The Mechanical Design Graduate will join Jendamark Automation’s design department, supporting the creation of engineering solutions that meet customer specifications. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to design, detailing and project coordination within a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in ECR design and detailing of small fixtures, tools and special‑purpose applications.
• Support the selection of components for procurement and create design release packages for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with assembly and commissioning teams throughout project phases.
• Develop final designs within budget constraints while adhering to ISO procedures.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute suggestions for reducing expenses.

Required profile

• National Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans; German is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage time independently.

Required skills

• Hand sketching and concept development.
• Machine calculations and basic stress analysis.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience.
• Understanding of material specifications and manufacturing processes.
