Marketing Manager – Fintech & Payments

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead strategy and execution for key brands within a fast‑moving fintech and payments environment in South Africa. You will shape brand positioning, drive growth, and ensure that all marketing initiatives are tightly aligned with commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own marketing strategies, KPIs, roadmaps and growth initiatives for assigned brands.
• Act as the primary contact for brands and stakeholders, leading strategic discussions and providing expert recommendations.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Manage marketing budgets, track performance and produce clear reporting on results and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure alignment with broader business goals.
• Apply payment‑industry knowledge, including compliance, regulatory messaging, merchant acquiring, chargebacks and risk management.
• Review marketing claims and materials for industry compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in marketing management, leadership or client‑project services.
• Strong understanding of the payments or fintech sector.
• Proven ability to manage multiple brands or accounts simultaneously with high organization.
• Self‑starter who identifies challenges early and implements solutions without extensive supervision.
