Marketing Intern

About the role

SGS, a global inspection, verification, testing and certification company, is looking for a Marketing Intern in Sandton. The intern helps run service launch campaigns, create content and build relationships with stakeholders, working alongside a global team of experts.

Key responsibilities

• Drive successful and sustainable service launch marketing campaigns.
• Develop consistent messaging and engaging content for services across the web, email, webinars, social media and external channels.
• Experiment with organic and paid acquisition channels such as content creation, pay-per-click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation, articles and white papers, with input from global experts.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders so that SGS takes part in leading events, exhibitions and industry publications.
• Analyse market trends, customer behaviour and the competitive landscape to adjust strategic marketing plans.
• Share information within the network using the tools available at SGS to build a marketing culture.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric, with a National Diploma or degree in Marketing.
• South African citizen who can produce a valid South African ID.
• Aged 18 to 30 and currently unemployed, with no criminal record.
• Willing to relocate to Woodmead.

Required skills

• Excellent computer literacy with the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Affinity for data analysis and strong research skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, plus exceptional organisational skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
