Marketing Assistant – Social Media & Content

About the role

We are a well‑established textile company seeking a proactive Marketing Assistant to support our Johannesburg operations. The role focuses on building our digital presence, creating engaging content, and supporting promotional activities across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow the company’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Plan, create, schedule and publish engaging content, including live streaming sessions.
• Design marketing materials such as graphics, videos, catalogues, brochures, banners and promotional assets.
• Maintain website content, product listings and promotional banners.
• Assist with Meta advertising campaigns, performance reporting and email/WhatsApp marketing.
• Support SEO initiatives and conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Monitor campaign performance, prepare reports and ensure consistent branding.
• Assist with product photography, videography and provide administrative support for events and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media or digital marketing.
• Marketing qualification advantageous.
• Strong interest in fabrics, textiles, fashion and industry trends.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Creative, organised, detail‑oriented and customer‑focused.
• Excellent communication, multitasking ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
