Marketing Administrator

About the role

Karen Tupper Recruitment is recruiting a Marketing Administrator in Cape Town, South Africa. The role provides day-to-day marketing administration and operational support to the Commercial Team, covering invoicing, content scheduling, website updates and campaign coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, maintain accurate records and organise digital filing systems.
• Schedule approved social media content and assist with email marketing campaigns.
• Update websites, Google Business Profiles, brochures, menus and other marketing collateral.
• Maintain content calendars, marketing asset libraries and promotional inventories.
• Assist with campaign execution, events, photoshoots and content creation.
• Capture marketing statistics, prepare monthly reports and maintain project trackers.
• Conduct quality checks on marketing materials and assist with competitor research and campaign reporting.
• Coordinate marketing tasks and ensure deadlines are met across multiple brands and properties.

Required profile

• South African citizen residing in Cape Town.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification; diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Digital Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in marketing administration or a similar role.
• Previous experience in the hospitality or hotel industry is essential.
• Fluent in English, with strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms and website content management systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider Commercial Team.
• Experience with project management tools such as Asana is advantageous.
