About the role

Vantage, a global multi-asset CFD brokerage offering forex, commodities, indices and cryptocurrencies, is hiring a Market Research Analyst in Johannesburg. The role turns market data into insights that shape product and service improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive dynamics in the CFD brokerage industry.
• Monitor and evaluate customer behaviour, preferences and feedback to give actionable insights for product and service improvements.
• Analyse competitor strategies, pricing models and market positioning to inform business decisions.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations and dashboards to share findings and recommendations with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and product teams to align research with business strategy.
• Track and analyse KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and business initiatives.
• Stay up to date on industry regulations, economic developments and technological advances affecting the market.
• Maintain accurate, accessible databases of market intelligence for cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or a related field; a Master's is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Market Research Analyst, preferably in financial services or CFD brokerage.
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading platforms and CFD products is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in market research tools, statistical software and data visualisation platforms such as SPSS, Tableau and Power BI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong organisational and project management skills.
