Manager, Products and Solutions

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Products and Solutions to lead sales and market development of payment gateway, fraud and value‑added services across Southern Africa. The role combines strategic sales planning with hands‑on execution to grow revenue and strengthen relationships with acquirers, merchants and payment service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on assigned market development revenue targets for payment gateway and related solutions.
• Build and manage relationships with acquirers, merchants, payment facilitators and service providers.
• Identify sales leads, close new business and generate incremental revenue from existing clients in a consultative selling environment.
• Develop financial models and business cases, and coordinate contract development.
• Implement customized solutions that create value for customers and Mastercard.
• Prepare and deliver tailored presentation materials for identified opportunities.
• Analyze customer data to ensure optimal operational performance.
• Provide support by resolving customer challenges and escalating issues as needed.
• Participate in customer planning and product prioritisation processes.
• Coordinate transitions between sales and implementation teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a sales/commercial environment with a proven record of closing deals.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals across multiple products.
• Strong account‑management capabilities and deep understanding of market dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
