Automotive Sales Manager (Remote)

About the role

This is a permanent, full‑time position based remotely in South Africa. The successful candidate will start as a hands‑on salesperson, handling inbound leads for a high‑end automotive customisation business, and later evolve into a player‑coach who builds and leads a sales development team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of inbound leads, qualify prospects and understand their automotive requirements.
• Quote customers using established tiered pricing for services such as Paint Protection Film, window tint, ceramic coating and paint correction.
• Handle objections, follow up consistently and convert opportunities into booked appointments and sales.
• Maintain accurate CRM records to ensure no leads are lost.
• When the business expands, train and onboard new SDRs, coach inbound sales conversations and monitor individual and team performance.
• Establish sales best practices, provide call coaching, develop product knowledge across the team and manage accountability for sales targets.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in automotive customisation or a closely related field (PPF, window tint, ceramic coating, vehicle wrapping, detailing, paint correction, etc.).
• Proven ability to close sales and meet performance targets.
• Willingness to transition from individual contributor to a coaching and leadership role.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of automotive aftermarket products such as Paint Protection Film, window tint, ceramic coating, vehicle wrapping and detailing.
• Experience using a CRM system to track leads and sales activities.
