Management Accountant

About the role

Bridge Personnel Concepts is seeking a Management Accountant to support its mining and heavy‑industry operations across the Eastern Cape. The role involves analysing costs, preparing forecasts and partnering with site teams to drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, monitor and analyse daily, weekly and monthly operational costs across multiple mining sites.
• Travel regularly to mining operations to gather accurate cost information and understand cost drivers.
• Prepare and maintain production cost models, unit‑cost analyses and site‑level cost tracking schedules.
• Develop short‑term and long‑term operational forecasts in collaboration with site management.
• Analyse variances between actual costs, budgets and forecasts and investigate underlying drivers.
• Produce management reports highlighting performance, cost trends, risks and areas requiring attention.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations to improve profitability.
• Monitor contractor, processing, logistics and overhead costs to ensure alignment with budgets.
• Support capital expenditure planning and post‑investment performance reviews.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives related to cost control, forecasting and reporting.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification.
• CIMA qualification or progression towards CIMA (advantageous).
• 3–5 years’ experience in management accounting, cost accounting or commercial finance.
• Experience in mining, construction, manufacturing or heavy engineering sectors.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively to site locations.
