Management Accountant

About the role

Fruitways is seeking a self‑disciplined Management Accountant to support its farming business unit. Based in Grabouw, you will travel between three operational sites in the Grabouw/Vyeboom area, acting as the bridge between finance and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the farming business with financial analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Compile, analyse and interpret monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Facilitate forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Conduct cost‑accounting exercises to support operational KPIs.
• Perform internal audit and control functions.
• Develop activity‑based cost and revenue models to enhance decision‑making.
• Manage and challenge capital expenditure requirements.
• Review procurement practices and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Ensure commercial agreements meet supplier warranties, rebates, discounts and payment terms.

Required profile

• Relevant BCom qualification with completed SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles.
• 5–7 years of experience in a similar finance environment.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a seasonal business.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
