Maintenance Supervisor – Injection Moulding

About the role

Our client is a packaging manufacturer. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will lead the injection moulding maintenance team and ensure plant reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety policies.
• Adhere to the plant maintenance schedule and monitor effectiveness to improve MTBF.
• Manage critical machine spares, lead times and contractor performance.
• Work hands‑on, lead from the front and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Control maintenance budget and mentor staff for upskilling.

Required profile

• Minimum N4 qualification in Electrical/Electro‑Mechanical; trade‑tested Millwright or Electrician.
• At least 5 years post‑trade experience and 3 years in a supervisory role within FMCG or plastics injection moulding.
• Practical experience with fault finding, industrial electronics, variable speed drives, servo motors, PLC controls, pneumatics and advanced hydraulics.
