Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Maintenance Planner will drive workforce productivity and equipment reliability by coordinating labour, spare parts, and maintenance activities across PepsiCo production sites. You will act as the bridge between operations and maintenance teams to ensure planned downtime is efficiently managed.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and allocate resources for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Communicate expectations with Operations and Maintenance before equipment is taken down.
• Develop and maintain optimized maintenance work plans and routine schedules.
• Ensure accurate data, document control, and compliance with PeMM standards.
• Train production and maintenance personnel on maintenance procedures.
• Integrate maintenance activities with production plans and boil‑out schedules.
• Forecast manpower and material needs for planned work and marshal resources.
• Estimate maintenance work duration, priority, skill requirements, spares, tools, and specialist services.
• Arrange contract labour to supplement internal resources when needed.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Trade‑tested as a Fitter, Electrician, or Millwright.
• Minimum five (5) years post‑trade experience in a related field.
