C & I Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled C&I Engineer with hands‑on experience in industrial environments, particularly within the mineral processing or mining sector. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining control and instrumentation systems to optimise plant performance and ensure reliable automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain control and instrumentation systems for complex process plants.
• Support plant operations by monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and minimising downtime.
• Develop control philosophies, logic, and instrumentation specifications.
• Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and optimisation projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance validation of control systems.
• Interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and control system documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operations, and maintenance teams on process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a C&I Engineer, preferably in mineral processing or mining.
• BEng or BTech degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• South African residency or a valid South African work permit.
