Machine Operator - Turf Grass, Stadia & Hard Courts

About the role

The City of Ekurhuleni is recruiting a Machine Operator for turf grass, stadia and hard courts work. The position is full time and involves preparing turf grass and hard courts in sports facilities, maintaining equipment and following safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare turf grass and hard courts in sports facilities
• Carry out general maintenance of the facilities
• Report any damage to equipment immediately to the supervisor
• Carry out occupational health and safety duties and adhere to all occupational and safety regulations
• Perform technical duties and report machinery and equipment damage verbally to the supervisor
• Use the resources allocated to the job effectively

Required profile

• Grade 10
• Relevant experience in the maintenance and operation of heavy specialised plant equipment in line with manufacturer specifications
• 2 years' experience in a similar environment
• Physical ability to perform all work required
