Luxury Villa & Accommodation Manager

About the role

Benguela Cove, a five-star wine estate on the Walker Bay coast with twelve luxury villas and Benguela Manor, is looking for a manager who runs the entire accommodation business, from booking to final inspection. Live-in accommodation is preferred. The manager owns both the guest journey and the revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all bookings and the full reservations process for the villas and the Manor, including enquiries, confirmations, payments, deposits and guest communication.
• Run the property management software day to day, keeping rates, availability and add-ons accurate and producing reports.
• Drive occupancy, direct bookings and revenue, working with the sales and travel trade team.
• Own housekeeping, presentation and maintenance, with daily inspections and a pre-arrival inspection before every check-in.
• Lead, train and hold accountable the housekeeping, grounds and guest services teams.
• Design arrivals, welcome touches and special-occasion moments, resolve guest issues personally and protect five-star reviews.
• Manage budgets, suppliers and maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• At least five years managing luxury villas, five-star hotels, lodges or private reserves, with at least two years leading a team.
• Track record of five-star ratings and an exacting standard of cleanliness and presentation.
• Commercial sense, with confidence in occupancy, rates and revenue.
• Ability to lead with authority and warmth and to keep good people.
• Wine interest and knowledge, or the appetite to build it.

Required skills

• Strong command of property management and booking systems; RoomRaccoon experience is an advantage.
• Computer literacy: Excel, email and reporting.
