Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an independent, self‑motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our Logistics Team at the Marketing Office in Somerset West. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will coordinate end‑to‑end logistics for our apple and pear exports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistical processes from loading point to final shipping destination and book appropriate supply‑chain services.
• Maintain and distribute up‑to‑date transport and shipping information for all stakeholders.
• Monitor vessel and container movements, produce reports and resolve deviations.
• Identify operational risks early and implement practical solutions to minimise disruption.
• Manage customer expectations, resolve queries and provide regular shipment updates.
• Assist the Logistics Manager with claims investigation, documentation and cost reporting.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification or diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or export of perishable goods.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and operate independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Experience with shipping portals and fresh‑produce ERP systems such as QX.
• Knowledge of DALLRD applications, PPECB, Phytosanitary processes, Q67’s / Titan, Port Operations and Incoterms.
