Locum Teacher

About the role

ADvTECH is seeking a qualified Locum Teacher for the Foundation Phase to deliver high‑quality, future‑focused education in a dynamic school environment. You will create engaging learning experiences that develop literacy, numeracy and other essential skills while fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum content in line with IEB, Cambridge or IB standards.
• Assess student progress and produce accurate academic reports.
• Manage student behaviour and promote a safe learning environment.
• Represent the school brand positively within the community.
• Perform administrative duties and uphold health & safety protocols.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) in Early Childhood Development or B.Ed (Foundation Phase).
• PGCE required if degree is in Psychology.
• SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
• 2‑5 years of teaching experience.
• Computer and digital literacy.
• Current First Aid certification.
