Mathematics Teacher (Intermediate/Intersen/Senior Phase)

About the role

ADvTECH is seeking a passionate Mathematics Teacher to join its network of schools across South Africa. You will work with learners in the Intermediate, Intersen or Senior phases, helping them build strong foundational skills and develop abstract thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, future‑focused mathematics lessons aligned with IEB, Cambridge or IB curricula.
• Assess student progress, produce accurate reports and manage academic records.
• Support student behaviour management and uphold health & safety standards.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the school, fostering positive relationships with parents, guardians and the wider community.
• Perform administrative duties related to teaching and school operations.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) plus PGCE or B.Ed (Intermediate, Intersen or Senior Phase).
• SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
• 2‑5 years of teaching experience in mathematics.
• Strong character, integrity, professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and manage time effectively.

Required skills

• Computer and digital literacy.
• First Aid certification.
