Social Sciences Teacher

About the role

ADvTECH is seeking a passionate Social Sciences Teacher to join its network of private schools in South Africa. You will help students build solid educational foundations, develop abstract thinking, and complete independent work across various curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, future‑focused lessons that motivate and challenge learners.
• Maintain academic delivery, assessment, and reporting standards.
• Manage student behaviour and uphold health & safety protocols.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the school, supporting administration and community partnerships.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) plus PGCE or B.Ed. (Intermediate, Intersen or Senior Phase).
• SACE certification, police clearance, and 2‑5 years of teaching experience.
• Strong character, integrity, professionalism, and high emotional intelligence.
• Lifelong learner committed to staying abreast of global education trends.
