Locum Physiotherapist – Private Practice (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated physiotherapist to join our Johannesburg private practice on a locum basis while covering maternity leave. The role is full‑time, split between our Fourways and Dainfern clinics, and offers the possibility of a permanent position after the assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment and exercise rehabilitation to a diverse caseload including sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions and chronic pain.
• Deliver two Saturdays per month and conduct home visits as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the clinic.
• Adhere to commission‑based remuneration structure and uphold professional standards.

Required profile

• Current HPCSA registration.
• Own professional indemnity and medico‑legal cover.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and ability to perform home visits.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
• Exercise rehabilitation techniques.
• First Aid certification.
