Lecturer – Setswana (Early Childhood Education)

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum and modules for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Conduct independent research, publish findings, and supervise postgraduate students.
• Design, present, and coordinate courses for pre‑service and in‑service teachers, both on‑site and via distance learning.
• Mentor students during practice teaching and work‑integrated learning placements.
• Utilise a Learning Management System to create and deliver e‑learning content.
• Contribute to departmental research outputs and academic administration.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Foundation Phase, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of teaching experience in Early Childhood Education and Foundation Phase.
• Active engagement in scholarly publications post‑master’s.
• Evidence of academic administration experience.
• Recent involvement (within five years) in community, work‑integrated learning, or service‑learning projects related to education.

Required skills
