Lecturer in Nature Management (Independent Contractor)

About the role

The NewBridge Graduate Institute is seeking an independent‑contract lecturer to deliver the Diploma Nature Management programme at its Highway Campus. You will design and present lectures, lead practical sessions and support students in mastering botany, ecology and soil science concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, workshops and tutorials, using a variety of teaching methods and digital tools.
• Design, update and assess course content, exams, assignments and presentations.
• Provide academic advice, hold consultation hours and respond to student inquiries.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, review and alignment with accreditation standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate on teaching‑related research.
• Manage administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, grading, reporting and committee participation.
• Promote an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.

Required profile

• Degree (NQF Level 7) or higher in Botany, Ecology, Soil Sciences, General Science or Biology.
• Prior experience lecturing both in‑person and online is advantageous.
