Lecturer: Hospitality Management

About the role
The International Hotel School Durban Campus seeks a passionate Lecturer in Hospitality Management to inspire and guide students toward successful careers in the hospitality industry. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, fostering practical skills, and supporting student development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate hospitality management courses.
- Develop, update, and assess curriculum and learning materials.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career pathways.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure relevance of program content.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Hospitality or related field (essential).
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Hospitality.
- Registration with ETDP SETA as an Assessor (beneficial).
- Scope by CATHSSETA (beneficial).
- Minimum 5 years of practical industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience.
Required skills
- Proficiency with relevant computer software for teaching and administration.
- Strong administrative abilities.
- Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment practices.
