Kitchen Staff – Food Preparation & Service

About the role

Opaa! Food Management is seeking reliable Kitchen Staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, assist with serving lines, and support occasional catering functions across its Midwest locations. The role involves rotating through all kitchen positions to ensure smooth food service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and maintain food at required temperatures.
• Stock milk coolers, prepare foods according to menu plans and Opaa! recipes, and plan ahead for next‑day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other certified kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, including kitchen, cafeteria, and dishwashing stations.
• Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and keep cooler/storage racks tidy.
• Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
• Bake bread, cakes, cookies, and other items as required.
• Batch‑cook to ensure consistent quality and appealing presentation.
• Serve items with proper portions, utensils, and hospitality standards.
• Record temperatures, complete HACCP logs, and follow safety protocols.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menu plans accurately.
• Understanding of HHFKA, CACFP, and meal pattern regulations.
• Commitment to maintaining daily production records and food safety logs.
• Willingness to attend meetings, trainings, and safety incentive programs.
• Adherence to Opaa!’s core values and time‑keeping policies.

Required skills
