Key Accounts Manager – Fleet (Cape Town)

About the role

The Key Accounts Manager – Fleet will build and maintain relationships with both prospective and existing customers, driving the growth of Avis Budget Rent Lease’s market share in the Western Cape region. The role focuses on van rental, local sales and luxury collection products, ensuring revenue targets are met and client satisfaction is high.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve individual and departmental targets.
• Create annual forecasts and contribute to the department’s budgeting process.
• Identify new business opportunities through direct outreach, travel management companies, tenders and other channels.
• Conduct regular business reviews with major customers and manage fleet contracts to align with usage.
• Prepare and submit tenders, RFQs/RFPs and support credit control for overdue payments.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records and generate weekly pipeline and monthly board reports.
• Monitor customer satisfaction via CSI programs and address issues promptly.
• Review financial standing of clients bi‑annually and ensure timely facility renewals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management within the vehicle rental or leasing sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting sales and revenue targets.
• Ability to analyse pricing, budgets and financial data to support profitability goals.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and business reviews.
