Key Account Manager - SPAR

About the role

Red Bull South Africa is looking for a Key Account Manager for its SPAR customer portfolio. The role manages and develops the SPAR accounts, driving growth in sales, volume, market share and profitability. The person must be a self-starter who owns the account, builds strong customer partnerships and turns strategic plans into effective in-store execution.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Red Bull's commercial strategy within SPAR, adapting execution to SPAR's national structure, regional distribution centres, franchise groups and independent retailers
• Develop and run medium- to long-term customer strategies focused on innovation, regional growth, franchise partnerships and sustainable sales drivers
• Implement pricing strategies that keep prices competitive, margins sustainable and aligned with company mandates
• Work with regional teams, distribution centres, franchise groups, store owners and field teams to ensure availability, visibility, cold availability, distribution and promotional compliance
• Develop and run a promotional plan aligned with the national promotional grid that protects channel profitability and maximises ROI
• Build joint business plans with SPAR stakeholders and identify new business, distribution and promotional opportunities

Required profile

• 2-3 years of professional experience as a Key Account Manager
• University degree, preferably Economics or Business Administration
• Fluent English (verbal and written); other languages are an advantage
• Experience managing budgets and investment buckets
• Existing trade contacts and networks are an advantage

Required skills

• Trade marketing, consumer marketing or field sales experience is a plus (not mandatory)
• Commercial acumen, analytical and planning skills, and negotiation experience
• Able to work with SAP/BI to plan and track sales results
