Junior Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Restaurant Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our fast‑food outlet in Kempton Park. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and supporting the team to achieve financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall restaurant operations, including financial performance, hygiene, and safety compliance.
• Implement systems and plans in line with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with and manage all restaurant staff.
• Coach and support staff to improve performance.
• Monitor progress against operational plans and take corrective actions when needed.
• Order, control, and receive stock efficiently.
• Schedule staff shifts to meet service demands.
• Control controllable expenses and submit relevant reports.
• Handle cash, banking, and financial transactions accurately.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• South African citizenship.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an Assistant Manager in a fast‑food restaurant (e.g., KFC, Hungry Lion, Chicken Licken or similar).

Required skills

• Micros POS system proficiency.
• GAAP POS system proficiency.
• Strong computer literacy with MS Office package.
