Junior Human Capital Business Partner

About the role

Momentum Group is looking for a Junior Human Capital Business Partner to support a senior HC professional and partner with the asset‑management planning teams within Momentum Investments. The role will help deliver people initiatives that drive high performance and create an environment where employees can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first‑line HC contact for day‑to‑day queries, triaging and escalating as needed.
• Prepare and present HC insights such as headcount, attrition and open roles for senior leadership.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance cycles and employee‑relations documentation.
• Assist multiple managers with HR queries, data analysis, reports and dashboard updates.
• Ensure HC practices are applied consistently, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements and Momentum Investments’ people strategy.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of Human Capital experience, preferably in financial services or asset management.
• Familiarity with front‑office environments (investments, trading, research) is an advantage.
• B.Com Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology or related field.
• Registration with HPCSA or SABPP is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong stakeholder management, confidentiality and sound judgement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (exposure).
