Junior Frontend React Developer – Hybrid – Sandton

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Junior Frontend Developer to join a fast‑growing technology team building a real‑time financial derivative pricing platform. The role is hybrid, based in Sandton, and offers the chance to work alongside experienced engineers while developing responsive, user‑friendly web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React‑based components across the full application stack.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, test, and deploy new features.
• Translate complex pricing and market‑data models into efficient software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the platform.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS through academic or personal projects.
• Understanding of software fundamentals, object‑oriented programming, testing, and version control.
• Interest in financial markets, trading systems, or data‑intensive applications.
